These terms cover use of this informational website. Each client project should have a separate written proposal or contract covering its exact scope, payment schedule, responsibilities, ownership and support.

Information and pricing

Website information is provided in good faith. A simple demo may be requested free of charge before purchase and does not oblige you to continue. Fixed packages purchased online cover only the features listed for that package. Prices marked "from" represent the listed base scope, and additions must be agreed separately. Projects are paid 100% upfront and work begins after payment and review of the submitted brief.

Timings and ongoing costs

Most website projects take approximately 2 to 6 weeks, depending on scope, feedback and how quickly content is supplied. A focused demo page normally takes 1 to 3 working days. The first year of managed hosting and one standard available domain are included. At checkout, the customer selects £120 annual or £11 monthly renewal. The selected Stripe subscription starts automatically 12 months after checkout using the payment method provided. The subscription can be cancelled before renewal by contacting Basil Web Development.

No guaranteed outcomes

Good design, accessibility, performance and SEO foundations can support a business, but no particular ranking, traffic, lead or sales result is guaranteed.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the website's design, text and original materials belong to Basil Web Development and may not be reproduced commercially without permission. Client ownership and licensing are defined separately for each commissioned project.

External services

This website may rely on third-party services such as hosting, email and web fonts. Basil Web Development is not responsible for third-party availability or content outside its reasonable control.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Basil Web Development is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on general website information rather than an agreed written service contract.
