Basil Web Development is a freelance web development business based in Surrey. You get one point of contact from the first conversation through to launch.
I work mainly with local and independent businesses that need a credible website without the price, delays or layers of a large agency. That might mean creating a first online presence, replacing something outdated or making an existing service easier for customers to understand.
I handle the planning, design and development myself, so the original idea does not get diluted as it moves between different people. You always know who is working on the site and who to contact when something needs explaining.
No hand-offs, no account-management layer, and no technical jargon for its own sake.

How long does a website take?
Most small-business sites take two to six weeks once the content and scope are agreed. More complex features can take longer.
Can you help with hosting and domains?
Yes. I can set up hosting and a domain, and explain clearly what is registered in your name and what the renewal costs cover.
Will it work on mobile?
Yes. Every site is designed and tested for phones, tablets and desktop screens. Mobile usability supports better search performance, but does not guarantee it.
What happens after launch?
You can choose ongoing support or manage the site yourself, depending on the project. The support scope and response expectations are agreed before launch.
